Hi Laurie

The Knit A squillion tally is now in with the Combined Tally 2012, found in 'featured discussions'. You need to scroll down that page, towards the bottom, and you will see where the squares first comes in to the count. :)

Hi Laurie! I'm so sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I uploaded a .zip file of the African Animal cards. Hopefully you'll be able to download it okay and finally have the cards in hand!

Hope all is well! :o)

Hi Laurie! Were you able to download the alphabet cards? If not, I'm sure we can figure out another way for you to get them. Let me know when you get a chance.

Thanks!

Hi Laurie, thanks for your comments about the blanket.  My friend's mother was a beautiful knitter and each of the squares is a different pattern.

Hi Laurie,
Love looking at all your beautiful work Laurie. you are a true inspiration to me and I'm sure many others.
The pattern for the little red jumper was one I found on Ravelry, and it was free. The next time I would cast on and do the neck in a smaller needle as I felt it might slip off the shoulders of a small child hence the crochet round the neck.
If you're not a member of Ravelry let me know and I'll find out the website or blog that it can be found on.
Love Dawn x

Congratulation on winning the Square Heart this month. I'm not at all surprised that Ronda looks forward to receiving your blanket packs. Your work is so inspirational which in itself is an asset to the site.

Good morning Laurie. Thank you for your comments. I am sending the mats in different packages. As long as we do not go over 2kg things can go surface mail as "small parcels". As soon as it goes over the 2kg the price is ridiculous. I cut the fabric and inner mat for the largest one and asked the Post Office next door to weight it for me before I continued with making them up just to check the postage. It will cost about £6 to send so the same price as a blanket costs me to send. The inners are just old polycotton duvets cut down and the fabric cost me £4.50.....less then the wool for a blanket. I am not sure of size for the small children it may be that smaller ones will be OK for them and then the postage for any others will be less. Great if they will be suitable with one of these and a blanket they will be warmer at night.

Hello Laurie..I have just found an easier way to sew up my knitting put the two edges on a board on my knee and sew between them. It keeps it flat and the board behind pushes the needle into the second piece....I am getting better with sewing in all the ends I do each square now as I finish them. Glad you liked my animals blanket.
