Thank you very much for the warm welcome I have just finished a 3year old's jumper to p[lace in my box south Africa. Because it is freezing here on the southern tablelands in NSW Australia it is a good day for knitting so I'm sitting in front of the fire knitting my first square. I,m not good with photos So you will need to patient to see anything
I've been volunteering for Knit-A-Square for about a month now. I help unpack and bundle each week, and answer the correspondence. In my spare time (the little there is) I knit too, albeit slowly.
It's been such a pleasure to be involved in an effort that makes such a difference.
Thanks so much Carol. I used up left over tiny bits and pieces of yarn, it was really fun to do this. I use every piece of yarn, left overs from formerly made squares. Moreover, Attic24 is very, very inspiring! I will wrtite to her an tell her what I did with her Doll's Blanket and tell her about KAS. xoxo
Hello Carol and thank you for your warm welcome to Sqare Circle. At the moment I am having problems with delivery of my knitted items sent to the PO Box in South Africa. I sent 7 knitted tops and several squares out at the end of January. I sent these by Air Mail and marked the custom label as Chrity goods no commercial value. However they have been returned to me today by Royal Mail marked unable to deliver items not collected from PO Box. I am keen to become involved in the Square Circle, but although I have knitted more items since sending my last parcel (*the first parcel I sent out was in early December and I do not know if the items arrived) I don't want to send further items only for them to be returned to me. Are you able to clarify this at all for me?
Thanks agin for my welcome and I look forward to reading about all the efforts.
Hi Carol, Thank you for your lovely warm welcome. I followed your advice and looked up the groups and am delighted to find not just a UK but also a Scottish group as well. Brilliant! I have been knitting for Knit a Square for ages, but hadn't joined the forum until now. Looking forward to seeing/hearing more of everyone on the forum.
Thank you Carol. I can't wait to get into knitting some of all those lovely things. I'm just getting back into knitting again. It's all coming back, Looking forward to all the chat and helpful advice.

Thanks Carol, It is very soft and warm but I thought it came out a bit shapeless

Hi Carol, thank you for your nice welcome.
I am looking around, figuring things out around here :-)
I am sure I will have a lot of things to ask about - am a newbie to crocheting and to KAS forum :- )
Already have finished 4 squares - each with different technique I am learning - and several failed attempts at beannies...
Sooo happy that I can help at least a little. Already thinking about how to spread the word in my surroundings/country - Czech Republic :- )
Jana
