Hi Kathy, I found the pattern in English for you. Here is the link: http://mynomadhome.com/octopus-for-a-preemie-osmiorniczka-dla-wczesniaka/

Have a wonderful weekend. xo

Kathy I found and printed off the square bunny pattern, I am itching to "have a go" at it.  Providing I've got a sharp enough needle to penetrate the blanket fleece I'm going to use, that is.  Wish me luck!

Hi Kathy, I did not find it, each pattern was on their website or pinterest except for the beanie. However, I found it on Ravelry :)))) They have a page there. My first one is finished! Really a pattern to recommend for the KAS kids! Thank you so much. xo

Hi Kathy :)

I found the samaritan website but not the pattern. I went to their Pinterest page and I found the pattern of the mittens, but not the hat. (There is only one page of te pattern uploaded). Could you please find out for me? Thanks a lot. xo

Hi there. Kathy

If you are around and not at work we are having a tidy up session - sewing in ends, butterflying tails etc. - at More Coffee Cafe in Melton on Thursday 7th January from 2 to 3 pm (stay longer if you like).

Hi Kathy - hope you're well! Lovely to meet you properly last week - can I pick your brains about slip-ins? I've found some lovely pencil cases to send in my next parcel, but just a bit concerned that the zips are metal. I'm worried these might get picked up if I've written 'knitted squares' on the parcel... obviously they shouldn't really have any metal content! As slip-in queen (!), have you managed to get these through the postal system or would you avoid them? Similarly, I guess you've managed to get pencil sharpeners through? x

Hi Kathy,

I believe that there will soon be a shop item for wool as Wendy Hardy asked me for the yarn shop details.  As the local couriers might not make a delivery for a Tues. when the office is manned,  there can then be quite a few phone calls and 'adjustments' to have the parcels actually delivered. As it is winter now and the KAS SA team is out making distributions, I would hesitate making another purchase.  What we do know for sure, is that the retirement homes have a pool of women and men who would be willing to devote their knitting skills to KAS.

Hi Kathy,

It looks like local businesses do not use the SA postal service but private courier companies. Pam gave me these contact details, however I know that the yarn was not delivered on a Tues.

Hi Kathy,

I found Wolmart Afrika in Pretoria online and chose from the Elle line of yarn. To pay for the yarn, you sign up with Payfast which is their Paypal equivalent so that the seller does not see your credit card details.  I communicated via email and Skype and found the owner, Dolly, and her staff to be very helpful.  I did not order navy blue as the yarn is designated for the crafters in retirement homes and navy blue is so hard on the eyes.  If you need more info, just ask.

All the best, Mili

Hi Kathy, thanks for your kind comments about my latest slipover.  I copy the pattern of Wendy's but use the stitch of Grace's Vest.  I find that with 5mm and 65 stitches using DK the slipovers come out around 24"-26", 13" to the cuffs and cast on 12 for each of the cuffs, then knit approx 7".  It makes a very stretchy top so will grow with the child.  This stitch is relatively easy, not too much to think about!!!  Great weather at the moment, got to get out for a walk along the seafront at Hythe:)))

Kathy, thanks for your lovely comments on KCJ number 17!  I find that they knit up so quickly, even  the 128 stitches across the arms on the back of the jumper!!!  This pattern is the best one for me as there are no arms to sew in, have an awful problem with that:)  LOVE the squishy bears by the way.

Hi Kathy,

You are correct!  The phone is wonderful except Ning doesn't like anything except a PC or Mac :-(

If you add the photo to the Photo Gallery, I can move it to the November theme .  Linda x

Kathy, I agree with you, photos do not do justice to any of the yarn colours, which is a shame! I bought two balls of the self patterning yarn, it really goes a long way too!
