Christine, just a question for future blankets to come: i see that you used aran weight for your two fabulous striped blankets, how much yarn was it / which crochet size did you use (my guess is a 5 or 6 mm but could be totally wrong!) Thanks in advance and congrats again for this awesome work :)

Thanks Christine for your kind words. There are simple squares and  are not part of the monthly theme. I had a great time - 7 weeks -  in London !!! I am going back for Christmas this year again!!!

Thanks Christine . I still knitting PJ's with  simple pattern variations. I am a beginner knitter, but I hope my squares end up completing a blanket some how. Thanks again. /diana

Thanks Christine. Doing the stripes seems to knit up so much quicker as well;)

Such a lovely story Christine. I am so pleased you still have your little treasure. The young lady who made these was inspired by ones she had as a child which were made by her grandma so when I told her where these would be going she was delighted:)

Christine, I had to sneak a peek at your profile and yes, we're practically neighbours in KAS terms :) - I don't know South Wales well - I used to travel to Newport regularly when we lived near the Severn crossing, but I've never been 'your side' of Cardiff. It was a shock to the system having to drag myself (and two little ones!) out of the house for the school run this morning on a grey January morning, but having heard what the ladies in Australia and Canada are contending with, I will not be moaning! - I'm loving your January challenge theme. It's giving me an excuse to make some more cuddlebugs. x

Hi Christine, yes the bee on the flower is a button.  I've had it for ages, left over from a crochet project.

Was just looking at the beautiful collection of long-sleeve warmers you have made posted on your page.  I love your work - so pretty and such beautiful colours.  Varigated yarns are so much fun.  Good to hear from you, friend!
