Hi Margaret

Sending birthday wishes to you from a wet and dreary west side of Oz. Hope you have a GREAT day. :))

Hello Maggie.thank you for your kind comments and the link for the crochet. I am going to have a go at doing some crochet squares next month when I have loads of time in airports. It is easier to sit and crochet waiting for plane than to sit and knit. Blankets take me different amounts of time to knit depending on how much work I have to do. Most of the time I knit whilst I watch TV so usually they take 2 to 3 weeks each depending on how easy the pattern is.

Hello Maggie, thanks for your interesting info about the Wraps of Love project - sounds pretty much like KAS!  For the Downunder Group, click on the Groups tab on the menu bar near the top of the page - the Downunder Group can be found on pages 1,2, or 3 - the Ning system keeps the groups moving around!  However, the DU Grouproup is not very active, not sure why, perhaps everyone is so busy........ You can actually read the activities of any of the groups, also you can join any Group - usually there is a Join note to click on.  The UK Group has quite a few Canadian & Australian members because we all have relatives scattered about.  Anything you can do to spread the word is appreciated - we are bypassing governments & politicians and getting on with making some of these parentless kids feel warm & valued!  Take care. Pam

Hi Margaret, Welcome to the KAS forum and I hope you will enjoy being part of this friendly & lively community. Do you knit or crochet or both? Around the world caring people are all taking direct action and team-working with the Ladies of the Soweto Comfort Club - it is making a difference to many parentless children.  When you've had a chance to look around the site you would be very welcome to join the Downunder group for more local news and chat.

You can also personalize your own page by clicking on the My Page tab on the menu.  Also you can access Settings on this page and set your privacy terms.  For questions click on the Forum tab and then KAS - Questions, Answers and Help.

Glad your Facebook/web search directed to you our team!  Check out the New Member Guide by clicking the "Main Page" tab above. There you will find all kinds of information about KAS. Another great section to look over is the Photo tab - everyone is so supportive of the work on display.

CREATECARE GLOBAL

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."

Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
