Hi Jackie

Best wishes for a Happy Birthday.  :))

Hi, Jackie!  I have your message.  Welcome to Houston!  I don't live near your daughter; indeed, I am on the other side of the city at NASA, halfway between Houston and Galveston.  I am not familiar with George Bush Park, but I found some info about it and if you will post your daughter's email address here for me, I will forward the links for you.  The dog park looks fun but has some definite rules.  There is some other info you might find useful.  Glad you like the weather.  Yesterday was really cold and the wind was like a knife, but today is heavenly and this weather should prevail the rest of this week.  I know you don't miss the ice and snow one bit!  More later.  I will give you a call at the number in your message tomorrow or the day after.  Blessings,  Helen Flagg

Hi Jackie,   Please gom to the U.S. Forum group for current information about a fund drive to provide a newer vehicle for Ronda to take blankets and hats to the creches and squares to the stitchers.  Donations in any amount are welcome.

Good news!!  The Humble Stitch Project from FL will ship our squares, hats, vests, cuddles, sweaters etc to S.A. if received by Dec. 15th. Go to the forum for the mailing address.  Jan Wilcox, OH

Me too, Jackie - Im retiring on 2nd November!  35 years of being a street market trader selling natural food, dried fruit & nuts and herbs & spices, is enough! What you you retiring from?

Glad you are enjoying the Forum, you will now have the time to be creative and help the children to feel loved & valued!  Also, it is good to share with like-minded and good hearted souls from around the world!  Take care.

Any questions, just ask us.  I love being able to make a real difference in a forgotten someone's life!  You can click on Groups in the header line above to join any groups you would like (the USA group is very enthusiastic and go-getter) or click on Photos to see what those of us that can handle uploading photos have been up to lately.  Again, welcome!

Hi Jackie, Welcome to the KAS forum from the UK. I hope you will enjoy being part of this friendly & lively community. Do you knit or crochet or both? Around the world caring people are all taking direct action and team-working with the Ladies of the Soweto Comfort Club - it is making a difference to many parentless children.  When you've had a chance to look around the site you would be very welcome to join the USA group for more local news and chat.

You can also personalize your own page by clicking on the My Page tab on the menu.  Also you can access Settings on this page and set your privacy terms.  For questions click on the Forum tab and then KAS - Questions, Answers and Help.

Very glad your Google search directed to you our global knitting family!  Check out the New Member Guide by clicking the "Main Page" tab above. There you will find all kinds of information about KAS. Another great section to look over is the Photo tab - everyone is so supportive of the work on display.

DONATE: KNIT-A-SQUARE

The Donate button provides 2 options:

  1. One time donation
  2. Monthly subscription               [click the box]

Because of PayPal/banking fees, KAS asks that your donation be 5USD [or more].  Anything less, means your donation is eaten up with fees.  Thank you!

KAS FINANCES

2. Sign up for an ongoing monthly donation (subscription).
