Please go to the U.S. Forum on the KAS website and read about a new fund-raising drive to raise funds for a newer vehicle for Ronda. She is in great need of a more reliable car to take the blankets to the creches. A donation of any amount is valuable. Thanks

I fully understand. I knit a KAS cuddle once a month to "get-away" from the squares ;) I like your idea of the chemo caps :)

Awww, thank you, Vickie, for your comments.  I had intended doing more elephants but time was not on my side.  They were part of a blanket I did with an African theme.  The blanket was sent to Philladelphia along with about 25 others in January 2011 ... they were being displayed at a concert where the Sowetow Gospel Choir was performing to help raise awareness for KAS.

Thank you, Vickie, for the details of the puff effect on your squares.  As I am still trying to come to terms with crocheting, I think it will be a while before I master the 'puffs'.  But I will keep on trying. x

Dear Vikki,

I love your anchor square your tension is so neat and tidy too, a blanket in blue red and white would look beautiful those colours always go together, your parents must like the letter V! my grandad was caled valentine and I am the only other V in my familyx  I have always liked the name Vikki I have a friend called Vikki and she is only 29 and very sick. I have a son he is called David he will soon be 32 in May he is sick too with a weak lung. I love crocheting for these children for Jesus and I love knitting too though crochet it still my favourite! I taught myself to crochet when I was 13 . I learnt to knit at school in the sixties. It is lovely to have your friendship as I dont have anyone here that crochets or knits. happy crocheting love and blessings in Jesusxx

Oh my - I cannot crochet!  I would love to know how, as it looks like you that can crochet can put out many more squares in half the time as those of us who knit!  I'm not really a very good knitter even!  I do love helping out the kids, though, and I have almost 140 to send this upcoming weekend.  I was just looking at flag pictures to see if I could do some for the April challenge.  I decided I could probably do some that are striped!  Ha ha!  I do plain janes only, and sometimes do different stitch patterns.  I do at least one a day, sometimes 2 or 3.

Hi Vickie, you are correct, I really do like making chain stitch squares. It almost looks like a weave and it is also the only crochet stitch I can do. I am more of a knitter :) I love your "puff up squares"

I think an anchor square would be wonderful, I make prayer cloths with crosses on, but I never thought of making one for knit a square, you have inspired me to make one too I have never made a cross with puffs though so I will give it a go! I usually pray over all my squares,I am making some larger dolls for knit a square at the moment and also one for some orphans in Peru, love all your work glad you joined the group. love and prayers in Jesus xx
