"That is my dream - to be able to retire and spend all day knitting and crocheting! I tried crocheting hand warmers but they were too "chunky" for my liking. I need to go back and try again with different yarn."
"1 more pair done.
These are such fun to mix and match left over odds and ends of yarn! What doesn't look like much yarn does a stripe! All the little odd balls of yarn I have are getting used up nicely. (But still a slow knitter, so its only…"
"wow, everyone is making so many pairs! I have one more pair to add, but now am going to take a break from hand warmers and start sewing ends in on squares (whatever happened to my New Year resolution to sew in and finish off each square as I go??!!…"
"Ok, how cool is this - Jane Mack (in the US) is about the only person I (in Japan) know in real life on here. Neither of us knew the other knitted for Knit-a-square until today when our parcels arrived on the same day and you happened to mention…"
"2 more pairs done.
Work (school) starts back next week, so I'm enjoying the end of my holiday doing as much knitting as possible. Once "real life" starts again there won't be nearly enough time for fun things like hand warmers…"
Knitting or crocheting an 8" square or two or possibly even a few is a wonderful gift for the children. They love to receive their blankets, created from squares, which come from kindly, caring folk such as yourself, from over 60 countries all over our world. PJs (Plain Janes as they are affectionately known) are the backbone of all our blankets. These are single colour squares that are in garter stitch(knitting) or single crochet as they are very solid and provide a contrast to a picture/striped/patterned square or two that may be added to a blanket.By clicking on the KASpattern book tab at the top of the page or our other square pattern discussion http://forum.knit-a-square.com/forum/topics/member-s-patterns-squaresyou can also find lots of patterns provided by our fellow K-A-Sers. If you would kindly check out our wishlist, you can see what items we are currently focusing on. http://forum.knit-a-square.com/forum/topics/wish-list-2017

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
