The Donate button provides 2 options:
Because of PayPal/banking fees, KAS asks that your donation be 5USD [or more]. Anything less, means your donation is eaten up with fees. Thank you!
Our goal is to remove the monthly deficit that Ronda and her team have to deal with. You can:
1. Make a donation whenever you are able.
2. Sign up for an ongoing monthly donation (subscription).
3. Shop at the KasShop!

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.

If a pattern tells you to 'psso' it will have told you to 's1' (slip 1) previously.
For instance: k1, s1, k1, psso would mean knit 1, slip 1 (pass a stitch from left-hand needle to right without putting yarn round), knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch - using the tip of left-hand needle pull the previously slipped stitch over the knitted one you have just made on right hand needle.
There are videos on YouTube if you google : try http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJr2Vw3YqL8
I hope this helps - if not tell me and I'll try again. Sometimes simple things can be hard to explain.
By the way Jayne, the eyes on the pattern are knitted in, but I left that out and carried on with a plain face, and when Id finished the teddie after it was sewn up, I sewed in the eyes, nose, and mouth with black wool, so much easier.

Hi Jayne.
Glad you like my teddies. I have a web site that you can print of the pattern. It is www.bevscountrycottage.com/buddybears.html
If you have any trouble let me know and I will let you have the pattern.

Hi Jayne,
Sending early "Happy Birthday" wishes !
Have you ever received a "left-handed" birthday card? It opens on the left instead of the right. I received one a few years ago. My right handed friend thought it was a cute joke!
Enjoy your day.
Linda
Welcome Jayne! So glad you've found KAS. I look forward to getting to know you better through chatting around the forum. Like you I'm always looking to learn more about knitting and to continue building skills.
Have you seen the Ilga Leja design that she gave to KAS? You can find it on Sandy's blog - All for Orphans. http://allfororphans.com/kasdesigner-ilgaleja/ If you haven't done any illusion knitting before I think you'll find this fun.
Hi Jayne and welcome to KAS. Congratulations to your daughter, I'm sure she is very proud of her achievement and new found skill. I hope she has many years of happy knitting. KAS is so friendly and everyone is very helpful I'm sure you and your daughter will enjoy being part of it.
Happy Knitting and a big cuddle for your daughter.
