Charis

Don't want to bombard you with concern - haven't seen you on the froum recently.  Do hope that all well with you and yours.  Anne (Davidsgrandma)

My patchwork has been festering in the cupboard while I knit ! It is a great way to put bits and pices to work for KAS and not feel guilty about  "wasted" fabric.

Thank you for the information on the squares.  I am a very limited ability crocheter! Maybe I will try some in the month assigned to trying something new!

They were called "next batch of squares" and "more mitres" I think.

Thank you for the comment on the Izzy doll and boat and green squares.  I sent them off as part of my first shipment to KasCare.  I appreciate knowing that an idea i had worked!  Are your photos #28 and 26 done in crochet?  They are really nice.

Dear Charis, Thank you so much for the invitation to being friends. I really appreciate it. Never have thought that I should have such nice, loving and caring contacts.  Warm regards, Anneke ......this afternoon I was in the shop to buy new wool for the kids....I have chosen colours for boys, blue,  green ...hope to start soon....and I bought 100%  wool (red), I want to make baby booties......warm feet for the kids, King Winter is coming soon in RSA.....

Dear Charis, I addressed my message for you to myself :) Sorry for that. Here is my second attempt. Unfortunately the pattern is available in Dutch only. If I could, I should translate it for you, but I am not able to translate knitting and crochetting techniques from Dutch to English. Luckily we have a very good friend, Linda Maltby! She has been searching on the internet and found: Ravelry, 7+ pages of booties, under patterns, search "free crochet baby booties". I bought my slippers pattern at Tjeempie.com in the Netherlands. Warm regards, Anneke

Thanks Charis, I really enjoy the wheel spoke pattern.  If you have any questions about it  just ask.

As to Tunisian....I can do the basic stitches and keep thinking I'll learn others but as yet I haven't. The basic stitches are quite straight forward.  Like you I've been crocheting for 50+ years.  I am still learning new ideas from this forum.

Hi Charis, Yes you should try the pattern, I "highly recommend" to try it! It is real fun and so easy to do. What I said before, it is crochetting, meditating, dreaming about a nice blanket for an abandoned child....
