"Yes, Karen, I make notes too - must be the secretarial background. What I find particularly annoying is if I've made a note of a yarn I particularly like and then it gets discontinued. Pray tell me what is a dobber? I've never heard that…"
"Who else does this?? I often find scribbled, or in fact quite detailed notes to themselves weeks or months after a project was started.... And then never finished. Astonishingly I can always understand my notes to…"
"How lovely to be able to get together for a happy celebration, Chris. I have no doubt that Sharon was there, joining in, in spirit. xo
That is a beautiful song, Glo. Anne will always be missed by those privileged to have known her. xo"
"Thank you, Chris, for sharing your 'awesome' finds. I can only imagine how wonderful it must have been for you to finally be able to get together with Sharon's family after the difficult journey you've all been through.
"Reflecting on Anne’s word ‘awesome’......
~ In April, during lockdown my sister passed away from cancer in a hospice, it was a very difficult time, made easier by knowing that the staff who were caring for her were awesome.
"This has nothing to do with KAS, but I wondered if any of you know this plant: the Cercis canadensis.I saw it on FB. The photo is not out of focus. The plant actually looks like that The name sounds as if it's Canadian:"
"Early in this discussion, Anne was regularly sharing things which she felt were ‘awesome’. I wondered whether, as our Corona Corner closes, we could take a leaf out of Anne’s book, and share something that we have read,…"
"Anne had the idea to start this discussion, hoping that it might help her KAS sisters during the pandemic and for quite sometime it did; a safe place to pop in and share what was happening to us in our corners of the world. As restrictions have…"
"Thank you Glo for sharing these lovely photographs and memories!
I love the ’little girl Glo’ with her pretty curls and yellow dress and I can see why the little goats became your friends. I chuckled at you taking cover in the car…"
"Chris, your pictures are adorable! They reminded me of some I'd seen of myself and my sibs from years ago and I had to go searching. My Dad was a great one for taking photographs so we have quite an account of things on his…"
"During lockdown I have found all sorts of things arriving in my inbox, from humerous photos and video clips to heart warming photos. These have all sent from friends who have been trying to raise the spirits of their friends during lockdown.
"I must confess to liking mine being longer - brings back memories of my lost youth. I'll be happy to let those who are desperate to get to the hairdresser's go first, although I am very lucky and don't have the grey root problem of so…"
Anne, I'm having a problem making a one-time donation to the Peace of Mind campaign. When I select the Donate box it does give me the form. However, when I click in the amount box and start typing, it immediately puts a comma in the field. I'm trying to donate $100. However, I don't know how to type it in the box. I don't want to make a mistake and have it show up as $10,000 on my credit card. I've had this problem in the past and that's why I've just purchase multiple quantities in the KAS Shop for larger donations. I hope this makes sense. :)
I Hope this finds you doing well and enjoying those long days fill with lots of sun. I was wondering if you would consider being featured in Meet the KAS Family? It can be you and/or your church group. If you are interested, please just shoot me an email and I will send you some general questions to answer.
I currently have questions out to three other groups, but am not having much luck in getting information back. Time to move forward with other people and groups.
I am in and out of internet contact the next couple of days while traveling, but will be checking my email nightly.
Hello Anne, thanks for your message (I wasn't able to send a reply!) re posting photos into discussions - I am using an iPad, so as you say, the usual method won't work for me. At some point I will get to my computer and add my squares to the relevant challenge, so thanks for doing it thus far!
Hi Anne dear. The Pinterst site is stunning, stunning, stunning but I am wondering if you can keep more KAS photos in that top row. e.g. that gorgeous shot of the two children wrapped in love with the words on top '1.9 million etc'. If that could stay at the top it wold be good. You are getting visits to the www site to it is working really well. It is full of stunning photos. Great job. It looks as though anyone can put a photo there I will have a go.
Thanks Anne, Have to say it felt strange knitting a thick woolly jumper when the temperature here was in the late 20's but it is rewarding that a youngster will be cozy & warm in the South African winters:)
"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
