Please go to the U.S. Forum page on the KAS website and read about a new fund-raising drive to raise funds for a newer vehicle for Ronda. She is in great need of a more reliable car to take the blankets and hats to the creches and the squares to the stitchers. A donation of any amount is valuable. Thanks

Hi Alaura~thanks for inviting me to be your friend. I just recently started on this adventure with the squares and it is so much fun, even though I am knitting alone at home. With this forum, it seems as if I am not!

Hi Alaura! Posting pictures to your personal page is not that difficult. I know this sounds so basic but first you need to have digital pictures saved in a file on your computer. If I remember the process to download pictures it goes like this... You click on the word Photos in the box under your name. When the next window opens click on the words +Add Photos (look to the upper right). Give a few seconds to a long minute for the program to upload and then click on the camera that appears in the center of the box. You should be able to figure the rest out as you go from this point on and truthfully, I can't remember the remainder of the steps exactly. I know what you mean about the colors for this month's challenge. Some of the squares that I see people posting are quite creative. I purchased some really nice warm grasslands colors and sunset colors in varieagated yarns. August and September are busy months for me at work so I have less time to get creative as I work a bit later, skip lunch and get home really tired. I seem to get a good amount of simple squares done during lunch so I guessing that my productivity will go down for this challenge as I have not been taking lunchtime for about a week now. Well, have fun with your colors! Have a really nice evening! Best, Janet

Wow, I love your colors on your KAS page Laura, they remind me of some of the beautiful piles of squares and blankets everyone is sending to South Africa. Welcome to the knit-a-square community. I hope you will enjoy the forum and join your regions group too.

Hope you are subscribed to the Square Circle ezine for stories of the children and their blankets, here is a link to the last ezine.

Also please consider joining our July Challenge - keep a new born warn, blankets for abandoned babies. You will find the thread featured under the main forum discussion board.

Look forward to chatting to you in the forum sometime soon, Sandy
