I just recently attended "STITCHES" (MIDWEST) earlier this month and I had a great time. I took a class with Master Knitter, Ms. Lily Chin. She is am excellent instructor. The class a that I took is called "Join As You Go". I learned a lot but I'm going to have to practice. The technique is really cool because it eliminates bulkiness in the seams of your garment. I'm gonna take…

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.

Hi Alicia,
Thanks for the compliment on my crochet squares. I do like making squares and garments to help keep the children warm. And if I can make something that will also put a smile on a child's face that is a plus.
Looking forward to more lovely squares from you :-)
Linda x
Dear Alicia,
Ronda has expressed the need for a newer vehicle to transport squares and blankets. Helen Flagg has proposed to the US Group that we raise funds to help KAS purchase a car. The idea has gone global and there is an initiative on the forum about it. Check the latest ezine video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VK9mbUrGWI&feature=youtu.be

Also, The Humble Stitch Project has offered to ship all squares received in Florida by Dec 15th to South Africa for us for free. Check out their offer and the address on the Forum in the US Group.
Hope to see you there!

No, no,no - it wasn't me! I didn't post details under every pic but the garden was a group effort by a community group. I am not nearly so clever! I do like knitting though and just posted the garden pics as they were so amazing. The course you did sounds brilliant. x
Yes Alicia, those of us who work full-time find that weekends are just not long enough to do all our various chores and tasks. I must admit that sometimes the thought of all the parcel wrapping and queuing at the Post Office does rather mean I tend to procrastinate - which is rather naughty, as I know the children are depending on us..............I'm retiring at the end of October, so I am creating a Personal Action plan to ensure that I use my time constructively - including getting the parcels in the post pdq! Thanks for all you are doing, don't envy the cardigan disaster you have been landed with. Take care and speak soon. Pam

We run a challenge each month. This month it is ‘Make it in May' and we would love you to participate, especially knowing that whatever you make will soon benefit one of our children.
Don't forget to post photographs of your work, either in the challenge month, or in your personal blogs as well as in the photos section of the forum. We have an awesome gallery of the work the KAS community is doing in photos, which is really inspiring.
