My friend Lydia gave me a blanket with 9 x 7 squares. So, I divided it into 2 parts of 5x 7 and 4 x 7 squares. This is the 5 x 7 part. I edged it with 1 round of hdc.

I upsized the other part with variegated sqares in a different set of colours. Both blankets are now on their way to SA.

She did a super job Valerie.  Are you thinking of upsizing the 4x7 with solid color squares or finding more colors like Lydia used?  Definitely high fives to her and to you, these will very much warm children in the upcoming South African winter.
