I found some cute glittery number and alphabet stickers and some African animal stickers to hide amongst the squares. Also the usual lead pencils..glittery and shiny ones, mostly...plus a few other stationery items. Found in my sneaky KAS cupboards - 48 pr. of socks....was going to just send half of them, but needed to fill up my second package so ended up sending the lot.

That is so generous of you! That is something I will definatly think about doing when I send my squares off! :)

Thanks everyone...I get a lot of pleasure from shopping for the littlies...my youngest is now nearly eighteen and with no grandies to shop for...this is just fun!!...and also knowing that they are much needed, not like with our own children who have too much, and then some. The skipping ropes had been $7.99 each, but were in a bargain bin for $1.99, so got all for one. Bought four and will send the other two, next parcel.

You are right Maudie, it was kinda like that....just hope nothing develops a rattle during transit....might be hard to explain how squares can make a sound..hee hee.

Good on you Bev. Slip ins?? Sounds like fill up with one square hiding in a corner. Skipping ropes - you have such an active brain and so generous. :))

What a lovely selection of gifts.  A great idea.

Fabulous! And those lightweight skipping ropes will be well loved too. I found some and they added no weight at all to the parcel it seemed. Love the colorful socks, so will their new owners...and all arriving in time to help ward off winter's chill by warming toes and giving the kiddies something to do when stuck indoors when it's raining out. Awesome!
