Thanks for the tip, Jeanne. I didn't know that mohair 'grew'.
I bought heaps of acrylic mohair on sale at the end of our summer this year, but have only used one lot knitted together with 8 ply for a KAS jumper, which I am STILL 'getting around to' sewing up. I wonder if acrylic mohair 'grows', too.
Lucky you, Susan......loads of beautiful yarn here....and I know you will make many beautiful items.
Happy knitting!!!
There is a small amount of mohair in balls plus blue mohair in the cones, good idea Jeanne to mix it with another yarn. I was thinking of the usual scarfs and maybe gloves, but a nice lap blanket sounds ideal x
Oooh super! I have a cone of pink mohair I found at a garage/yard sale and I'm going to double it with another yarn so it adds texture and warmth but doesn't do the annoying growing that mohair loves to do. What are your plans? My pink mohair is too thin to work alone anyhow I think.
Lovely stash Susan, that'll keep you occupied!
Lovely Susan! Isn't it good when other people want to help too? Even if they don't knit themselves they can give yarn to people who do. I can see lots of lovely squares made with all this yarn.
WOW!! You're gonna be busy!! lol
I get a lot from charity shops. One lady gave me some for free when I told her what it was for.also I get wool off eBay. Sadly we don't have a wool shop locally, although poundstretcher have a good selection
