Glad you like it Christine ... I have the same problem with regular diagonals, especially if I do stockinette stitch rather than garter, and then even with blocking, I have a diamond or as you say, a kite. I can't wait to see what your creative mind comes up with for color combos!
Thank you for the link Sharon. I've just completed my first one and it was very straightforward. I think it was no harder than any diagonal and is actually a better square - mine have a tendency to be kite-shaped. I'm hooked and am looking forward to experimenting with colours and making some more similar to yours.

Easy and fun to do. I just wish I could find the bright and lively variegated yarns that others use. The ones I found all seem to be dark and boring.
