These squares are done in Tunisian simple stitch.
Linda these are superWow!!!! Very beautiful. xo So nice that it is the leftover yarn from the blanket in memory of your Dad.
I should also mention, the squares were sent separately along with a photo and Wendy made up the blanket. We don't want to incur any customs duties if we can help it !!
Thanks ladies ! This is leftover yarn from a blanket I made in memory of my Dad who passed away last year. Here's the photo of the boy who received Dad's blanket....on Father's Day :-)
The yarn is called 'RedHeart Kids' and the colour is Crayon Multi. It's a bit finer than I usually use which is why the Tunisian stitch works really well to provide a closer weave. Knitting with this yarn would probably create the same effect. I don't know if it would be available in the UK.
These squares are stunning Linda! The colours look so warm.
Beautiful:) A blanket will look totally amazing with all these fantastic colours and patterns:)
Wow! beautiful squares Linda - when I saw them I immediately started to sing (Joseph and his 'amazing technicolour squares' ??!)
Wonderful warm happy colours (what yarn is this?) - amazing stitch - doesn't look 'simple' to me at all. Love itx
These are very effective variegated in Tunisian stitch!
