Twist stitch squares today. Hard to explain how the twist stitch is done, you kind of knit two stitches together, but before slipping them off the needle you place the point of the needle between the two stitches and knit them again. The orange square was actually just a little too wide, so I dropped a couple of stitches off the border in the yellow one and it is just right. I had to 'pin' these down for their photo as the twist stitch tends to pull them in and they end up with a kind of 'waist' in the middle LOL! They should be fine once sewn into a blanket though :-)

What a pleasant pattern to look at, I really like it's "look". Thanks for sharing. All that texture will make for a very warm blanket for some lucky child. Well done! And yeah sometimes the squares get a mind of their own but a stern talking to, a few pins and a determined stitcher in South Africa and they will soon settle down and behave.
