... but a breakthrough for me. Ever since Mary posted her pattern http://forum.knit-a-square.com/forum/topics/mary-kristel-lokkens-single I have been trying and failing to complete a single square. But inspired and helped by Anneke's beautiful photo recently http://forum.knit-a-square.com/photo/august-2012-challenge-zebra-design?context=latest I think I've cracked it and I can now join the fan club of that pattern. They are addictive.
If you squint a bit could the unfinished one be called a cheetah?

Hi Christine! I don't know what's wrong with my computer, but I just now see all those beautiful squares you made. These are really stunning! xoxo

I would call the unfinished one a leopard square as it reminds me of the colors of their spots. Anyways they are all beautiful squares, believe me.  Really lovely!  And the red one reminds me of the beautiful African fabrics, the patterns on them.

It was my cack-handedness at fault Mary, not the pattern. I was missing out stitches which are much more apparent with colour changes. I really like the pattern and it isn't hard although I have changed the centres because I always forget quite what I should be doing.

Yay Christine!

I'm sorry to hear you had a hard time with the instructions, but glad to hear you did it!

Beautiful squares! :)

Christine, those squares look amazing, you've inspired me to have a go or at least look at the pattern :)

Well done Christine! I love the zebra pattern, but I think this is too complicated for me :)
