Hi. I just wondered if you still check in to the Square Circle Forum. I live in the Creuse departement about 80 km east of Limoges. I joined KAS in May and joined the French group...but have had no communication from anyone in it. So..I joined the Canadian group, which is very active. I'd love to hear from you. I'm a crocheter rather than a knitter.
Welcome to KAS, Dee. I'm sorry I'm late chiming in to say hello. I find KAS such a rewarding cause to be involved in and I hope you enjoy it too. Do check out the New Member Guide which is found by clicking "Main Page" in the header above. To reach the Discussions just click Forum above and if you click on Photos above, you will see items that are heading to Africa, in all colors and shapes, plus those that have arrived there. If you click on Groups, above, you can join any country's groups you wish, to chat with. Any questions just PM me. :) So, welcome to Knit A Square! Blankets and hats and sweaters direct from our hands to their hearts, a win-win.
And now we’re helping out over in Zimbabwe too and they need everything over there. I just love making a real difference in a child’s life. So welcome aboard!
Bienvenue Dee ! It is wonderful to have a crocheter of your talent making those beautiful jackets to keep the children warm. I am also a crocheter and it is a pleasure to have another crocheter to share ideas with.
Once you have looked around you might like to join the France group. Isabelle is a flight attendant who flies to Johannesburg and takes squares, etc directly to Ronda in South Africa.
Hi Dee, Welcome to the KAS forum and I hope you will enjoy being part of this friendly & lively community. Do you knit or crochet or both? Around the world caring people are all taking direct action and team-working with the Ladies of the Soweto Comfort Club - it is making a difference to many parentless children.
You can also personalize your own page by clicking on the My Page tab on the menu. Also you can access Settings on this page and set your privacy terms. For questions click on the Forum tab and then KAS - Questions, Answers and Help.
Very glad your web search directed to you our global knitting family! Check out the New Member Guide by clicking the "Main Page" tab above. There you will find all kinds of information about KAS. Another great section to look over is the Photo tab - everyone is so supportive of the work on display. Saw your lovely Hexgon jumpers that Mary posted on the Forum - wonderful!
