Hi Karen ... how are you? Haven't seen you on the forum lately... and there are more of Grace's vests to go in the album but I don't know how to do it. Hope you are OK
heeee heeeee you probably heard me snort in a very unlady like manner when I read your message!! my 'thingies' are 3 inches, but I think because it is such a thick combination of wool (ooops should have used fatter needles), they are not stretchy - I'll see what happens on the next one! Really lovely pattern, and easy to do. I have considered using the stretchy hat pattern for the body of a vest, and then shaping the shoulders/neck the same as Graces. I might have a play with this but need to concentrate more on it! Will you move my pic to the album please? as you are such a whizzzzzzzzzzz :o) xx Thanks Karen
First Grace vest completed - yipppeeeeee!! Love the pattern and am sure this is the first of many!!
Your shoulder 'things' (you know what I mean!!) look longer than mine (ooohhh errrr) are yours longer than 3 inches? ho hum ho hum - such a good job we are female, folk might wonder what on earth this is all about.....
Hi karen Thank you so much for your comments on my work. My cavalier king charles spaniel called jess sits with me all the time i am knitting she gets wrapped up in the wool sometimes because she just likes to get as close to me as she can, quite often her head will pop up between me and the knitting as if to say " what about me". I really enjoy helping as much as i can and just have to think of all those little faces to spur me on. I love the ribbed vests you have knitted, could you let me know where the pattern is? I think I may have to lengthen the body on the go overs they seem all sleeves. This is my first batch of knitting so hopefully i may get some feedback to help on the sizings. Best wishes kathryn
i buy a lot of wool from wilkinsons as they have multi colourd balls which i enjoy knitting with. our poundstrecher shut down we have a pound shop which sometime's has wool but it is just plain white or pink.
thank's for the welcome i have the same problem with wool think i am getting it down then see more i like.and buy it. at least the children will get the benefit of the wool and my addiction to wool.
Do you mind if we use your upsized pull over pattern on the KAS official website? We need to replace the old one as it is too small. Thanks for letting me know. My email address is kalai@knit-a-square.com
I've used the hat pattern on this site several times. Just click on patterns, then hats and there is a selection there.
My other fav is a pattern I do in the round ( I use circular needles or you can use 4 needles) which I tend to use for the girls hats You can see examples of these on my photos. If you would like the pattern I'll try to hyperlink it to you.
Have you heard of RAVELRY it's a great site where it's possible to download lots of free patterns. KAS has a group on the site which I only found out about after joining.
