I will look forward to seeing your efforts. Very impressed that you are doing Tunisian crochet too. I just do plain old granny squares. Different textured yarns and different sized squares just make me feel like I am being creative when I am actually being quite boring.

Jeni, I haven't taken the plunge into weaving yet - still working on my campaign to persuade my other half that we do have room for a loom as well as all my other yarn stuff.  In the meantime I've been learning Tunisian crochet and having fun with that.  If I do win the loom room at  home challenge, I'll certainly post my beginner's efforts - good, bad or dreadful!

Absolutely brilliant idea, Mary.  I'd love to organise a stall with you.

Glad I coouldn't get to Yarnfest. i think I would have happily fallen for weaving. I am sure KAS could use woven squares. So long as they were strong enough and suitable to stitch into blankets there shold be no problem. They take knitted, crocheted, machine knitted and felted so far. If you go ahead, I would love to see your efforts Ilse.

Hi Mary

I went to Yarnfest yesterday and fell in love with weaving. I'm now asking myself if I really have time for another yarn hobby...do you think KAS would be able to use woven squares?  That would strengthen my case for investing in the equipment!

Nearly that time of year again. SECC Glasgow hosts the Creative Stitches and Hobby Crafts event from 7th - 10th of March. Some very good deals in yarns at the Chritmas event so you never know what might be available in March. Best get some of my stash used up again if I hope to buy any.

Hi folks, can you believe how horrible and wet it is just now? All of my Christmas shopping is done so I am keeping warm indoors crocketing my purple yarns. I had been working on a batch of hats to use up some yarns that Laurie sent me from Canada but back onto blanets now. Merry Christmas everyone.
