Heather, how did your knitting Big Day Out go ? I have been quiet on the KAS front recently, having other projects to knit for, but have just sent off a small consignment of squares. Love to know how you and others are getting on with knitting.
Hello fellow Yorkshire "KASers"!
I'm organising a KAS UK 'Big Day Out' in July - please see this discussion for more details. I hope you can join me!

Thanks Marion. I live on the wild, East Coast at Withernsea.
That's awesome Heather that the manageress saves the yarn for you. I was born in Yorkshire but we left early and I'd like to fly back over some time and go tour around it. I think your nights start closing in and dipping in temperatures about the same time ours do in the middle of Canada. It's certainly an incentive to knit or crochet! It keeps us warm too while we're doing it.
i think Boyes is great for yarn too Heather lots of choice and reasonable prices, i went yesterday to get some yarn for the September challenge .
I joined the group last year but haven't posted much since.
I get most of my yarn from Boyes in York. The manageress is very kind and saves all the old, unlabelled yarns for me instead of throwing them away.
Welcome Susan and Heather, thank you for joining. So which are your favourite places to shop for yarn ? Like Susan, I also am addicted, and do some knitting every day. For my own garments I shop at Knit Owl in Richmond, but for KAS various people donate yarn to me (so kind). And you are so lucky Heather to live in York. My MOST favourite city in the world.

Hello to all new(ish) Yorkshire members! I'm in the beautiful city of York and knit/crochet for KAS in any moment I get! As well as that, my husband and I run the York City Gospel Choir - so look out for us in and around Yorkshire!
Welcome Evelyn and Kate, glad that you ahve found the Yorkshire Group, which is fairly new, do spread the word amongst any knitters with Yorkshire connections. I knit in Richmond and am about to send off another package of Squares to KAS. Although I have other projects to get on with, it is just too addictive to do another square ....
The Donate button provides 2 options:
Because of PayPal/banking fees, KAS asks that your donation be 5USD [or more]. Anything less, means your donation is eaten up with fees. Thank you!
Our goal is to remove the monthly deficit that Ronda and her team have to deal with. You can:
1. Make a donation whenever you are able.
2. Sign up for an ongoing monthly donation (subscription).
3. Shop at the KasShop!

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
