Don't forget that Creative Stitches and Hobby Crafts will be at the SECC at the end of October. There are usually a good number of yarn stalls selling from the wonderfully expensive alpaca and hand dyed yarns to budget cheap stuff in crazy colours to suit any need and pocket.
for any local to Edinburgh KASers a new yarn shop has opened at the bottom of Leith Walk - I popped in today and they have the FULL range of Stylecraft acrylic and ICE varigated yarn more info here (also sell online) www.kingfishersblue.co.uk

I have been knitting for 50 yrs so you can say that I am experienced, I love knitting aran also children and adults. Anyone want to contact me do not hesitate I am a good listener. Take care, Susan x
Hopping in to say that if any KASers in Edinburgh are free this friday at 11am Granny Greens is organising a photo call at Grayfriars Bobby on George IV Bridge. It would be cool to have people knitting in front of Bobby (or crocheting!) I have also made Bobby a mini orphan blanket so he can stand in solidarity with the South African orphans.
hey! just a quick note to say Granny Greens an Edinburgh Craft group is having a KAS evening on monday. I'm going to talk about the work of KAS and then we'll sit and make squares. South African snacks provided! We're a very friendly group so do come if you are in the area more info here http://grannygreens.co.uk/2013/10/special-workshop-crafting-for-a-c...
I have seen your squares and they are never boring - completely the opposite! I am a long-standing fan of your very creative use of colour and pattern to produce such appealing results.

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
