Haha, I bought some digital scales a few years back just to weigh my squares and then realized the squares covered the screen.
Don't know why your pic is sideways, but have noticed it happens with a few people. I do it through my laptop and haven't had it happen.
Ok here is a pic of my squares and a couple of beanies I made on a knitting loom. I weighed myself and then weighed myself holding the squares.
The two piles in the back weigh about 2kg. Im going to parcel them up and post them on Monday.
BTW Wendy, unfortunately my kitchen scale is only small and when I put the squares on it, they cover up the digital screen that tells you the weight :-/
(does anyone know why my pic is sideways? When I upload it its the right way)
On average a square in 8 ply acrylic weighs about 20 grams, so that might give you a guide Jenny. I usually weigh my parcels on a kitchen scale that can weigh up to 5 kg. I like to do that so I don't get any surprises at the post office, and so I don't go just a couple of grams over the limits (I think they go in 1/2 kg increments). Those couple of grams can cost quite a bit extra!
I actually sat down and counted how many I have today - I am working on number 88!!! I have no idea what they weigh. I put them on my people scale and they aren't registering anything. :-/
I know how you feel, Jenny. I am in the same boat. :))
Thanks everyone for your help.
I have many squares to send off and you all have been a great help.
Just got to find the time to package them all up !!
