What's on your needles and hooks this month?

As we welcome the change of month and season, will your
colours /patterns/textures/appliques/embellishments reflect this, I wonder?
Will it be a month of completing projects....new yarn.....new patterns....new design ideas....or  something from yarn that has been lingering in your basket/bag?

The colour of the month is GREEN
Glorious green that makes me think of the new shoots of grass when our rains come (southern hemisphere) or the new branches/leaves sprouting on plants/trees and bulbs to herald the arrival of Spring (northern hemisphere).
Looking forward to seeing as many shades as possible.
Of course, not forgetting that March 17th is St. Patrick's Day
.......so what ya'  waiting for? Get your green on.....hahaha....and please share your crafting with us, because YOU are an inspiration!

Gorgeous Sharon! I love the colours, and I enlarged the photo to see the stitch, it’s lovely, I hope we do see it again!

I enlarged it, too and totally agree with Chris. This is a lovely stitch....looks very solid and warm. LOVE the woven texture it creates.

Even when you are using up 'left-overs', Sharon, you create beautiful blankets/designs. Well done!!

You're very brave to try a whole blanket in a new stitch, Sharon, but it's worked out beautifully.

Thanks for the kind words.

I laughed at your comment, Patricia.... not sure if it is brave or stupid.

I thought I had achieved all the length I needed, and was ready to begin decreasing, when I spread the blanket out to measure, and realized that one side had random decreases which were not intended.   So I took out most of what was done, and remade it a little more carefully.   The 2nd time I had an actual rectangle, instead of a wonky amoeba shape.   Lesson learned, maybe.   At least, don't watch really interesting documentaries when doing a new pattern for the first time.

We all live and learn, Sharon. I've definitely realised that a tape measure needs to be within reaching distance at all times!

Hello all x    I have had a lot of "life" going on around me and consequently needed some time away from this forum to help reset my headspace.   Logging in today and seeing what has been made this month, I have enjoyed viewing the makes and reading comments a lot.

I have though not stopped knitting in any free time - so here's a recent all-in-one blanket I got to totally finishing.   It is Majestic Aran and was knit on 5mm needles.   No 62

So glad to see you back Karen, you have been missed! I love all your makes (and your friend Bev’s too), the colours are gorgeous in your blanket and the colours in Bev’s blanket is bright and beautiful….looking forward to seeing this lovely yarn in the future :)

GREAT colours and colourways in this blanket, Karen!!

Magnifique Karen,  très impressionniste : vous êtes le Monet du tricot !

Quel point de tricot ? je n'arrive pas à voir mais c'est vraiment très beau et dans mes couleurs préférées.

Thank you ♥️. It is a 4 row very easy stitch:

Row 1 (RS).  Knit

Row 2.           Knit 3, Purl 3

Row 3.            Knit

Row 4.            Purl 3, Knit 3

I imagine it would take more than "life" to separate you from your knitting needles, Karen!  I do find crafting is great therapy when things start to get on top of you. Beautiful blanket and hats.

Loving all your work, Karen, whenever it appears.    Sometimes life does interfere with yarn play, but as Patricia says, it helps to keep us grounded when things get really crazy.   I hope things are calm now, and you are enjoying life.
