What's on your needles and hooks this month?

As we welcome the change of month and season, will your
colours /patterns/textures/appliques/embellishments reflect this, I wonder?
Will it be a month of completing projects....new yarn.....new patterns....new design ideas....or  something from yarn that has been lingering in your basket/bag?

The colour of the month is GREEN
Glorious green that makes me think of the new shoots of grass when our rains come (southern hemisphere) or the new branches/leaves sprouting on plants/trees and bulbs to herald the arrival of Spring (northern hemisphere).
Looking forward to seeing as many shades as possible.
Of course, not forgetting that March 17th is St. Patrick's Day
.......so what ya'  waiting for? Get your green on.....hahaha....and please share your crafting with us, because YOU are an inspiration!

Fabulous!

Love this blanket!I'm a green lover:-))

Wow wow wow Patricia that a fantastic blanket, absolutely super design!

The colours and stripes have created a stunning effect Patricia :)

Spectacular blanket Patricia.

Love everything about it.

I'm not much of a green lover, but this blanket is a STUNNER!!!!

LOVE the design and the colourways...it practically leaps off the screen.

So this is on my hook since last night.

My Mother in law passed away recently.

It's a sad time for us at the moment and the weather here in Germany doesent help with all it's rain and grey, cold days.My Mother in law used to crochet a lot and had loads of wool, which belongs to me now.

She knew I knitted for KAS.Now I want to try a bigger project to use up some of that wool.

So this is the beginning of a baby blanket.

IT's 30inch wide and will be 70 inch long.

Thank you Karen for your advice!

I think my Mother in law would be proud, knowing her wool is going to an important charity like KAS!

I'm so sorry to hear about your Mother in Law, Rachel. I'm sure you'll be having many memories of her in your thoughts as you work away at your blanket.

This is the beginning of the baby blanket

What a wonderful tribute to your Mother-in-Law to make a blanket using her wool.

This is a marvelous beginning.

Rachel's photo

Oh Rachel I'm so pleased to see you've started this blanket already - it is so neat!   I've used inherited wool myself after a friend and relative has passed.   It is a super way to pay tribute and respect to them.   The width at 30" is ideal - however I feel making the length around 36" means the blanket could be used as the child grows too.  Good luck ✔️

I'm so sorry for your loss, Rachel.

This blanket will be a lovely tribute to your mum-in-law and the treasured memories you have of her.
