We start the New Year with a little 'kick back and relax'.
This month we would LOVE to see what you have on your hooks, needles and looms.
Please post some pics of what you're 'up to'  with your K-A-S crafting this month.

Oh sorry, Lesley I missed this - it is very intriguing...    Great for using those 'what can I do with these non-matching half balls of wool' ✔️✔️

Another absolutely stunning creation from you Lesley…if you were still in Cape Town it would be hanging over the arm of your chair as you crochet.

Here's my ongoing project, Bev.

Strips of Tunisian crochet that will be put together into a blanket, eventually.   The strips are about 4 inches wide, so I will need 10 of them to make a KAS blanket.

Some are solid colors, which I think show off the texture of the stitch better.  And some are wild and crazy colors that hopefully will add some zip to the finished project.

The color on the hook is not black, it is a med-dark purple (CoM), but for some reason the camera thinks otherwise!

LOVE your pattern, Sharon. Is your flecked yarn, two yarns crocheted together?......They're very pretty.  :))

Looking forward to seeing the finished blanket....NO pressure.....well maybe just a tiny bit....haha.

Glad you like the idea Bev, now if I can just get it finished.

The multi-color yarn is wild and crazy.   Several colored strands mix into one yarn, and the colors change as you go through the whole big cake.   Each color seems to try to shade into the next, changing one ply at a time, but there is a lot of mix of colors all throughout.  I chose it because of the bright green and yellow tones, but working it up, seems like those are not the prominent shades.  Still I think it will add interest to a blanket that the children will like.

Wow!! That is an interesting cake, Sharon....and I thought you were being 'wildly creative' or stashbusting and mixing them all together....haha.

This sounds similar to a ball of yarn that I have had in my 'main' knitting bag since November and that I hope to get to 'soon'. The colours seem to be more pastel, but ever-changing,  like yours

Unique as ever Sharon.   Cracking idea X

Another great idea Sharon, I too will look forward to seeing the finished blanket :)

That’s going to be an interesting blanket Sharon.

What's on your hooks and needles in January 2023

Started these in November '22, as self striping yarn is a 'favourite' of mine. Continued on in December when Patricia asked who else liked self-striping yarn and she had made some, then finally finished today...on my needles in January. :)) Used 3 x 100gm balls, but had to find some similar turquoise to finish the last little bit on the multi-directional diagonal, far right middle row.

Ooooo these are eye-catching Bev!   Kudos for thinking on your feet X. Little bit space in your main bag now??  ..... Or has the space already been occupied.... I'm hedging toward it being already filled, ha ha. ✔️

Hahaha....and you'd be right, Karen!!
