HAPPY NEW YEAR
EVERYONE.
Wishing you all good health and happiness.....
and LOTS of 'craft time' in 2023.
I hope Santa had a little something in his sack for you at Christmas.
We start the New Year with a little 'kick back and relax'.
This month we would LOVE to see what you have on your hooks, needles and looms.
Please post some pics of what you're 'up to'  with your K-A-S crafting this month.
Colour of the month is

January 2023 - What's on your Hooks and Needles?

I started this blanket in Feb 2017 at the end of the 'Passion for Purple' theme...only completing about 2 sqs worth of the plum colour. Over the years I have come across it from time to time and thought 'one day I'll finish it'. As this month CoM is purple, now seemed a good time. I stupidly didn't count the number of rows needed for my limited number of balls of lilac and white and thought I wouldn't have enough of those colours, so added five rows of the plum in the three middle strips, when it turned out I didn't need to.

I'm so proud of you for gettting back to this abandoned project - it was worth the wait.   Cracking impromptu design too......!!

Purple…. you can never have too much! Your perseverance has paid off Bev :)

Your passion for purple obviously faded for a while, Bev! We'd never have known that this design wasn't the original intention if you hadn't confessed - it works beautifully.

Good of you to stick with it and complete this project.

I think that's why this recurring theme is so good.  Now we can return to projects started for KAS and clear the decks so to speak.

It certainly checks the box for this month's color...PURPLE.

Absolutely stunning, you must be so pleased to have finished it after all this time.  The colour's go so well together and I love the added colour to the three strips in the middle. Well done Bev.

I had a couple of spare yarn cakes and managed to find enough yarn in similar colours in my stash to make a whole blanket.

Absolutely gorgeous!

Oh my goodness! This would have to be one of my fave blankets you have made, Patricia!!

Absolutely LOVE the colours (and colourways) in this bright and cheery blanket.  :))

Beautiful + very unusual make Patricia - it's amazing that as experienced crafters we can change + adapt as we go along to create our own masterpieces - Well Done lassie ⭐

Absolutely stunning!

Smashing great job Patricia.

Time to buy more yarn???
