Bravo Bev, this introduction is perfect.   I wonder though how you managed to create the bespoke cartoon image of me sitting knitting, ha ha.   I'm frantically finishing off two projects before I start something totally new...

Oh my goodness, Karen!!! Is your New Year's resolution to challenge yourself when knitting????????

Wide sections, patterns, self-striping yarns.......your mind must be buzzing with numbers in that GORGEOUS diamond pattern!!  Wow!  What weight is the ball of yarn? I don't think I've seen one as big as that before?

LOVE the pretty colourways in the bottom one....sooo sweet!!

The greens is Aldi cakes which are 200g.   I'm making 3 wide panels of just less than 18".   One ball makes 1 panel.   I may need a contrast to crochet border it.

The variegated is Eylul DK.   With around 400-500g I'm doing a wide centre panel of 36" first, then I will do 2 x 10" panels each side in a toning colour.   It's not like me to have just 2 big projects on the go, but I quite fancy having an empty bag for once!

Ah, the Aldi ball looked sooo big, I thought it was bigger than that. I have only been to an Aldi store a few times....and never found yarn.

You make me giggle when you say ONLY two major projects on the go.

Both colourways and patterns are beautiful, Karen. What a promising start to the new year!

Great knitting there Karen I see that you haven’t slowed down!

Marvelous intro Bev.

Happy New Year and let's get crafting!

I have been busy making bunnies for my squares. Hope

the children enjoy their fuzzy tails.

A BEAUTIFUL way to welcome the New Year from Ada.

Walking into the new year

I wish you all a very good year! It is my fifth yearpanel and its on his way to SA.

Perfectly stitched squares, Ada. They'll be the focal point in a child's blanket that we'll keep an eye out for ... xo

Oh Ada I was hoping you would produce another one of these. I’m going to keep an eye out for your parcel I loved making 3 blankets out of your previous ones.

Nowhere near as exciting as everyone else's crafty start to the year lol!! I'm sewing in ends and finishing up the squares, dolls and some more hand-warmers that were knitted/crocheted last year. Once those are done I can start on something new.

And despite my resolution last year not to buy any new craft stuff (especially yarn) my stash hasn't decreased as much as I would like (ie not enough to justify buying any more), so I guess its the same resolution again this year!
