Welcome Everyone to our discussion on Themes for 2021.
Please be encouraged to participate in the suggestion of themes for next year. The more the merrier.
It maybe an old favourite you'd like to revisit...or something we've never done before. All suggestions gratefully received.
If you should like to host a theme...that would be wonderful...and if you've never hosted before, we are here to help and support.
As you can see, our themes give thought to many different square designs.
Your ideas please?

Instead of 'girl' and 'boy', what about something like 'pink frills and lavender lace' and 'trucks, trinkets and treasures'?
I haven't put much thought into the names here, but I'm thinking to not specifically say that it's for girls or for boys. Since some girls like traditional boys' toys, jobs and colors, and some boys like traditional girls' toys, jobs and colors, we don't want to be seen as stereotyping.
Just my 2 cents worth ... xo
Thanks Glo. :)) I don't wish to offend or be seen as attempting to define any gender. xo
Thank you - not all girls are sweet and polite - some if us enjoyed climbing trees and jumping ditches as kids......... also, some boys enjoy crafting or reading rather than football and running about!
I keep meaning to say, and forgetting, that I am willing to take on one of the themes for 2021 if you would like.
Thanks Rebecca. xo
Okay, so I think that I may have a list for 2021.....
1. Valerie has offered to host a Christmas theme in May or June...thanks Valerie. xo
2. Patricia has offered to host the end of year theme. thanks Patricia. xo
A title from you both for your theme would be great and much appreciated. :))
3. Because They're There...appliques and yarn etc that you have in your stash, but haven't used thus far for whatever reason.
4. Va va va Voom Variegateds and Spectacular Stripes
5.Hearts and Flowers
6. A Taste of Africa. colours, animals, flags, Nelson Mandela
7. Sweetie Treats
8. Two Colour Challenge
9. Around The World. Colours, Flags, Flora, Fauna etc
10.New to You. Textures (yarn or patterns), a new yarn colour/colour you wouldn't normally use.
11.Go Bold. Bright and Neon coloours.
12.Colour Memories. Colours or appliques that evoke a memory.
These are in no particular order, except the end of year and Christmas theme, which means May or June and December.
Please let me know if or which theme and month you would like to host. :))
Can I pick FEBRAUARY, Go Bold and ORANGE for colour of the month initially please.
You sure can. Thanks Karen. xo
YIPPEE !! I could do September too, but will hang back to see if I'm needed. Kx
Just put me in where you need me, and whatever theme.
I'd like to choose the colour RED for December as that seems the most Christmassy colour but I'll have to give some more thought towards a title.
I'm happy to do a second theme in the summer if you're short of volunteers.
I've been looking back over suggestions for previous years and I quite like the sound of Free for All for December. Is that OK?
