I sympathise Cath.  Elaine and I have loads of donated squares ready to send and so are organising a tea party to get some willing ladies to help sew them together into blankets.

Sounds like a good idea Pam and I'm sure you will. Now all I have to do is get my granddaughters to make cake and find some 'willing' helpers!!!

Good luck with it Cath.  I know how lonely it can feel trying to process hundreds and hundreds of beautifully made and donated squares.  Maybe a local WI or Mother's Union might help?

Keep us posted!

OMG I am amazed at the task some of you have set yourselves ! You are real champions. Hopefully you will get to see your very own blankets around children in the future. Blanket tea parties sounds like a good idea Pam.

I actually kind of like the sewing up part. You get to see all of your hard work coming together as the final product. But 2000 might get a little tiring, lol. Good luck to all of you and think of all the good those finished blankets will do :).
Those were your blankets Cath. Now they have arrived in Syria warming those precious children. That is so heartwarming.

Fantastic photos. Lovely to see Wandi with the Wool-Girl books. I can recognise some of Ros's squares too. Fabulous array of warmth and those cute dolls!!

So pleased Ronda has the water problem fixed. What a nightmare.

Think those fab dolls are Edy S.'s....don't they look gorgeous....and bigger than I realised....GREAT!!!

I agree Bev. There are fantastic and SO much bigger than I thought.

Wow! What a lovely lot of pictures and news to catch up with!

Life is ridiculously hectic at the moment and I've barely had a moment to get onto the forum but I'm so happy to see all this wonderful activity going on!

I am very glad parcels started to pour to KAS again.I am thrilled looking at all these lovely items KASers sent there.

Although only 12 parcels arrived, the ladies busied themselves once it was opened, by winding wool, tidying up and getting down to all the little jobs they never have time for normally. Wandi needed a rest.

From the Czech Republic ladies!

The Donate button provides 2 options:

  1. One time donation
  2. Monthly subscription               [click the box]

Because of PayPal/banking fees, KAS asks that your donation be 5USD [or more].  Anything less, means your donation is eaten up with fees.  Thank you!

Our goal is to remove the monthly deficit that Ronda and her team have to deal with. You can:

1. Make a donation whenever you are able.

2. Sign up for an ongoing monthly donation (subscription).

3. Shop at the KasShop!

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."

Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
