This is a great idea if you find a sock sale and the colors appeal to you. Many toys can be made and stuffed from socks, much faster than knitting them and then you can knit squares or hats in the time saved. :) Really cute monkey!

Hi Sue,
but that was so funny. I found the pattern, sent it to you, then bought socks and tried to make the doll without looking at the pattern again and wondered why I couldn't get it to work. What I made was completely different to the pattern. But it worked, so I have made some more.
