NATURE'S BEAUTY

I'd like us this month to get back to nature.   The beauty of the seasons, landscapes and the animals on our Earth are around us all.

There is so much we can look to, and inspire the children with, in our knitting and crocheting.   The marvels of creation are superb and can be defty applied and represented in our makes as they are made of such variety and colour.

8" squares, hats, hand-warmers and completed blankets are all encouraged for us to craft.

Our colour of the month is GREEN

Here's a lovely song which I feel is pretty apt for this theme:

Oh, Bev, you might have figured me out .... I do have a low threshold of boredom.   But mostly, we need to stimulate those young children to get their brains fired up and working.   Every little bit helps -- color, texture, patterns and shapes.

Oh my word Sharon a 3D masterpiece- you were truly inspired.

A rainbow from a cloudy sky.  I have 5 squares made for each color, enough for a blanket.

This was a fun new pattern with some texture for little hands.

What a beautiful blanket these will make, Amy.   A new texture pattern is always a good thing.

Fantastic Amy they will make a stunning blanket.

LOVE the frame around each square, Amy!!! These will make a DAZZLING blanket!!

Amy I love this idea and the colours really pop with the darker framed sections.   My kind of project to work on -  I love making sets of things, that are the same,  but different (if you get what I mean).    Super that you worked up a different stitch to yourself too ♥️

Such a super intro Karen I thought I had posted this weeks ago.

I started making this blanket a few months ago.   My colour choices were based around the colours in the variegated wool.   It includes a nod to the CoM's for July and August, but I'm stretching the boundaries to say now it is all about the floral colours of sweet pea flowers.   A good friend crocheted the panels together and bordered it for me.   No 54.

Absolutely fabulous Karen - I can smell those sweet peas!

Woo Hoo!! What an absolute STUNNER, Karen!!!

LOVING the self-patterning yarn.....and the stripes.....and the strips of texture...just LOVE it all!!

Brilliant blanket, great textures and colours!

Sweet peas are my favourites, I love their scent and colours :)
