SEPTEMBER 2022 THEME - NATURE'S BEAUTY
NATURE'S BEAUTY
I'd like us this month to get back to nature. The beauty of the seasons, landscapes and the animals on our Earth are around us all.
There is so much we can look to, and inspire the children with, in our knitting and crocheting. The marvels of creation are superb and can be defty applied and represented in our makes as they are made of such variety and colour.
8" squares, hats, hand-warmers and completed blankets are all encouraged for us to craft.
Our colour of the month is GREEN

These pretty flowers will cheer everyone up, Patricia. Love your colors and patterns, but I'm especially liking the two on the top. A very interesting pattern and so well done.

Magnifiques vos carrés de fleurs Patricia : vos belles fleurs de laine vont illuminer notre premier jour d'automne et chasser toutes les tristesses. Avec le fond marron ce sont de véritables fleurs qui sortent de terre et c'est splendide, surtout les 2 du bas de la photo.

Five colour of the month squares. Unfortunately, was just a little short on the yarn for the 6th square, so had to put a little left over lavender from Marion's theme.
This is Paintbox Aran yarn, same as I made in turquoise for Patricia's theme, but whereas I had a little left over yarn with those squares, this colour I came up short in both balls, even though I used same number of stitches and rows.

That's very frustrating, Bev. I've always reckoned to get five squares out of a 100 gram ball of DK yarn but have been finding lately that I can sometimes only manage four and a bit. It really shouldn't happen with the same brand though!
