NATURE'S BEAUTY

I'd like us this month to get back to nature.   The beauty of the seasons, landscapes and the animals on our Earth are around us all.

There is so much we can look to, and inspire the children with, in our knitting and crocheting.   The marvels of creation are superb and can be defty applied and represented in our makes as they are made of such variety and colour.

8" squares, hats, hand-warmers and completed blankets are all encouraged for us to craft.

Our colour of the month is GREEN

Here's a lovely song which I feel is pretty apt for this theme:

My dear Karen, I thank you sincerely for bringing that to my attention.  My apologies for getting the CoM wrong.  In my defense, may I say my error is due, in part, to "Nature's Beauty" ... the beauty of Mother Nature's  hurricane that is now just a memory for me.  It would seem that cleanup has taken priority over thinking ... hahaha

Here, I would like to quote Mark Twain (I think)

"Out of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!"

My thoughts and prayers are now with all the folks in Florida, USA who are being battered by Hurricane Ian.  I wish each and every one of them all the best ... xo

So glad to hear you're safe and well, Gloria.

Wonderful blues Glo.  Look like they could represent the ocean.

September 2022 Theme - Nature's Beauty

Crocheted butterflies (store bought) on a vibrant green background, which my computer has altered to a very dull, flat (darker) green. Hubby and I have looked through about 150 shades of green on google, but the yarn doesn't match any....hahaha.

Two very effective squares Bev :)

When I saw your butterflies I remembered I have some tucked away, I must remember to use them!

Love your butterfly squares, Bev.   The green background (whatever it is called) looks inviting, and the lacy butterflies are charming, and a bit sparkly, too.   That's always a good thing!

Fabulous squares Bev - I'd call that jade green.   The butterflies are a winner.  I've used these exact ones a few years ago + they're a fiddle - kudos!!!  ✔️

Love this shade of green I would call it Hunter green but I guess it’s different in every country. Love your delicate butterflies- clever girl!

Beautiful squares, Bev. The applique queen does it again!

Such delicate butterflies.  There are perfect squares for this month's theme.

My last contribution for this month is a sideways zigzag in shades of green.

Ooo this is sssso lovely -  your blankets always display a wide variety in styles + stitches Sharon.    Thank you Xx ❤️✔️

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."
