I'd like us this month to get back to nature. The beauty of the seasons, landscapes and the animals on our Earth are around us all.
There is so much we can look to, and inspire the children with, in our knitting and crocheting. The marvels of creation are superb and can be defty applied and represented in our makes as they are made of such variety and colour.
8" squares, hats, hand-warmers and completed blankets are all encouraged for us to craft.
Our colour of the month is GREEN

Patricia this is very beautiful. It must have taken patience to work in all those stripes, but WOW was it worth it ✔️✔️✔️. Thank you Xx
What a beauty, Patricia. It is bright and cheerful, and will make a big difference in one small child's life.
A PERFECT rainbow, Patricia....and just SOOOO pretty!! As soon as I saw the white scalloped border, I thought....fluffy clouds. :))
I love the beautiful colours in your ‘trademark’ blanket Patricia, it’s perfect! :)
Thanks, Chris. I try to mix my blankets designs up a bit but always come back to the old favourite!
You really make the prettiest blankets Patricia…the colours are perfect!
Such an eye-popping blanket. This blanket is going to be cherished by a very special child.
Karen, I feel like I've been peeping through a keyhole for the last few months! I have caught glimpses of our themes, challenges, barn news and everyone's wonderful crafting. I'm still 'peeping', I'm afraid. This has been a summer filled with 'things', all culminating in a visit from Hurricane Fiona that has rocked our province and devastated our little community of River John :( We have suffered, but there are many, many others who are facing a much longer road to recovery and I ache for them.
In the meantime, I'm taking a break from all this to share something that makes me smile. In June of this year, I believe you all know that Chris Chiplen and I were sitting side-by-side in my home. What a joy!! She passed me several gifts she had brought with her (thank you again, Chris :). Among them was some beautiful yarn. I'm not quite sure why she thought to give me blue yarn, but anyway ... ;)
I had planned to share photos of the things I made with it but in all the turmoil throughout my summer I've just breezed past that notion. Some of the squares are already on their way to S.A., other things made with it have been sold at craft events in exchange for postage dollars. It was a very welcome gift, dear Chris :)
To give others an idea of the beauty of this yarn, I've just finished the last of it in these two squares. I am absolutely beyond thrilled to find that this month's CoM is blue. Does that surprise anyone? No? Okay ... well here are my squares that I hope will fit right in for this month :) It's a grey and rainy day here so not great for photo-taking ...
I've been missing everyone here on our Square Circle Forum and am looking forward to getting back together with you all ... soon, I hope ... xo
Dear Glo, so pleased to hear that you and Don are okay....must have been a very frightening time. xo
This is delicious yarn!!....and looks nice and warm and squishy. :))
The squares are beautiful, I’m not sure why I thought you liked blue, perhaps just a good guess?
I’m smiling as I visualise Andrew and I sitting with you and Don as we sat together the first evening, and you saw this blue merino yarn. Another happy memory :)
We have missed you, Gloria, but knew you were busy as a bee all summer long. We also missed your blue squares! This pair look fantastic. Congrats to you, and to Chris Chiplen for guessing that you might like it.
Oh Gloria you do make me do silly grins. Your BLUE CoM squares are divine..... but the CoM is GREEN!!! LOL... Tee-hee. I'm super grateful you've made a stack + shared them with us never the less. Sorry to read of your storm troubles. Deep breaths + get yourselves sorted one step at a time. Good to hear from you, Kxx ❤️
