NATURE'S BEAUTY

I'd like us this month to get back to nature.   The beauty of the seasons, landscapes and the animals on our Earth are around us all.

There is so much we can look to, and inspire the children with, in our knitting and crocheting.   The marvels of creation are superb and can be defty applied and represented in our makes as they are made of such variety and colour.

8" squares, hats, hand-warmers and completed blankets are all encouraged for us to craft.

Our colour of the month is GREEN

Here's a lovely song which I feel is pretty apt for this theme:

This was some yarn I bought online from the UK. I was trying to get the green that I admired of yours, earlier in the year, Patricia.  :))

Fabulous  squares Bev and such a lovely fresh green…we always need these and they are so beautifully knitted.

Beautiful squares, Bev, and I love the choice of bright purple for contrast.  So lively and so pretty.

Lovely fresh green squares Bev, and a like the band of lavender :)

Not sure I can claim inspiration from nature but it is very.......green!

Oh my heart is melting.... Thank you so much for this true sweetie Xx

I think you could claim that to be a flower fairy, Elaine! I love it - and a child will too.

I knew that hat reminded me of something!

LOVE the colours in this cute, cuddly toy, Elaine.  :))

I'm not sure what a flower fairy is, but I like the sound of it!

Flower Fairies were, I think, invented by Cicely Mary Barker who has written lots of books about them.  Apparently:

"Flower Fairies™ are tiny creatures (the biggest is only 20cm tall) that live in the tree tops, marshes, forest floor, wayside and gardens. Wherever and whenever a seed sprouts, a Flower Fairy baby is born. Each Flower Fairy lives and sleeps in their chosen flower, plant or tree, and as this grows the fairy grows too.

Each and every Flower Fairy is in charge of looking after their flower or plant; keeping it strong and healthy by making sure it has plenty of sunshine and water to drink, sweeping away dead leaves, and polishing flowers and stems."  Cute!

Fabulous info ✔️. Thank you X

CREATECARE GLOBAL

"CreateCare Global has set itself two tasks. The first is physical: to bring hope, support and comfort to children for whom poverty and loss are everyday tormentors. The second, and in our view equally important, is to spread the message to the world."

Our thanks to CreateCare Global for supporting the Square Circle Forum and helping to spread the wonderful work that KAS does.
