Sadly Wendy, there was one in July leaving 100 people destitute, and, yet another smaller on in August!! Their homes are built out of wooden pallets packed with mud, but once flames take hold it just sweeps through many homes very quickly as the wood tends to be so dry. The resilience of these people is just amazing, and, thank goodness they have Mama Ntombi CP to respond to them in a crisis.
Certainly does, Cath. How exciting for you!
It's nice to think of KAS blankets going to Mama Ntombi for distribution. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy x
I agree Rosamund. Mama Ntombi does a stirling job and anything we do to help her people gives me warm fuzzies too ! However I am sure they are equally needed by the crèche children . When I see the blankets all looking so cosy and bright I think how wonderful it is for them all to have so much colour and warmth in what at times seems a drab world.
I'm just happy to see a little warmth and colour brightening the lives of those in need...definitely feeling warm and fuzzy. :))
That's a lovely pic.....can't wait to see more.
Well done. Others have said it all.
