Even quite big kids love their cuddlies ! I agree Jeanne, it is always a pleasure to see the multi coloured blankets wrapped around the children. It makes the world seem a better place when you think about who all the squares have come from.

Distribution Photos from Olievenhoutbosch by Erin :

Beautiful photos of the children, and all the lovingly made square, hats, tops and toys.  Thank you for posting these.  They are such an inspiration!

I sent my dad the pic of the boy with the green and white hat and teddy pretty sure that its one of my mom's she confirms that it is a positive sighting of one of her tragic teddies!

So pleased for you Mom - it is lovely when members confirm 'sightings' of goodies etc - well spotted Mary.  If you double click on the people it should enlarge and you can see the teddy more clearly.

Wonderful KAS cuddles too!

Final batch from Olievenhoutbosch by Erin :

I just love all the photos - and look at the little lovely with her teddy in the back!  These are so priceless.

Thanks Pam for these lovely photos... Have enjoyed looking at them.

Love the distribution photos !  Some of the children look a bit anxious or unwell in the photos. Blankets and gifts badly needed I suspect.

One of the things that cannot be realised from the photographs Sue, is that many of the children at these creches that Ronda & Wendy deliver to, which are often deep inside a township, have never seen white people before!

Consequently the children are a bit nervous to begin with. Not sure if this is the case here, but it is not unusual for Ronda's white skin & hair to cause screams of terror initially. Thank goodness they are always accompanied by Wandi & Lindi, and, obviously once the blankets and various gifts are distributed, the atmosphere improves no end!

The distributions can be very stressful - not at all like we imagine they are!

Yay! The little boy at the top with folded arms is wearing my double thickness loomed hat. First time I've spotted something of mine!!!
