Valerie, Good Luck with your fundraiser! Outdoor events are always so iffy. Dress warm, carry an umbrella, enlist lots of help, and sell oodles and oodles of stuff! xo

Goodies sent from Knit-a-Square to the people of Kya Sands with love ... after devastating shack fires this week coupled with a sudden drop in temperature. Kya Sands is an informal settlement in a suburb of Johannesburg.

Agree with all the other comments here glad to see that KAS was able to help these poor people. Good to see though that it looks like a lot of items were able to be 'rescued' before they were destroyed.
I can't imagine how devastating it would be to lose everything you have and not have any money or insurance with which to replace it.

Agreed and now the temperatures have dropped and what do they have to shelter themselves with. I'm so glad we can do at least a few things for them!
