Well, I bet I am not alone in having this go through my mind when I read the theme

https://youtu.be/GC_mV1IpjWA

I apologise for being late posting my theme introduction - I am sure the video has given you ideas - fish, shells, seaweed, blues and greens, lobsters and mermaids.........  lion fish, old statues and shipwrecks, sharks..........

I look forward to seeing what you are all making.

Amazing. Well done!

I was given 3 balls of this squidgy thick orange wool so I have gone for "beside" the sea here using the colour to represent sandy beaches.  This baby blanket was fast and fun to knit on 8mm needles.   The picture doesn't do the vibrancy of the orange justice I'm afraid as it's rather dreich day here in Co Durham!

GREAT colour, Karen!!

I have been pleased knitting with 5.5mm needles, recently...so much quicker than 4mm. I can only imagine how fast your blanket grew, using 8mm.....haha.

A fun, warm, bright, happy blanket, Karen.   It will be treasured for a long time to come.

I love this basketweave pattern.

It very much puts me in mind of the sane under the sea when I had a holiday on the mediterranean many years ago - the sea had shifted the sands into lines a lot like this.

Using up all the leftover bits of blue (CoM) yarn, and a few trials of new patterns, too.

Wit-wuu these are bonny ♥️

Snazzy squares, Sharon!!  LOVE the popping colour combos.  :))

Lovely - if you look at teh sea it is always a mix of shades, so these use up yje leftovers squares fit perfectly.  Well done.

A great way to us up bobs and bits.

Love the effects.

Beautiful Blues Sharon.

Those of you in the UK or with access to the BBC iPlayer - this week on Strictly come dancing Fluer and Vito are dancing Under the Sea.  Do you think they know bout our October theme?
