Far too many fabulous colours used amongst these toys for me to even pretend they were made for this theme ......but I just had to show them off!    They were made by my friend Phyllis.

Aww, Phyllis is a STAR, isn't she??!! She makes the most amazing, fun toys.....and the imaginative roleplay with those delightful puppets....WOW!!

They’re gorgeous Karen and will bring many smiles to little faces.

Being honest I started this blanket in September for the Colour Memories Theme I hosted - with the idea that the main orange colour made me think of Tomato Soup!!!    It took me longer than I anticipated to knit, then have beautifully crocheted together and bordered by my good friend Pat - so here it is No 48 - ideal for this theme!

Well done Karen and thanks to your friend Pat too for a beautiful blanket!

Thank you Karen and Pat  for such a colourful joint effort.

Tomato soup, indeed! I've noticed that you often seem to gain colour inspiration from foods, Karen. Does that tell us something about you, I wonder?!

Well done Phyllis on all the lovely toys.

Yeah -  I like food + am a bit of a chubster!! Lol

Never been a fan of tomato soup....haha....but LOVE your blanket!!

Great collaboration from yourself and Pat.  :))

Hmm, I was only thinking about a fave thing I used to like to eat as a child, yesterday...perhaps that says something about me, too.....hahaha.

My Mum used to put three or four Arnotts milk arrowroot biscuits in a bowl, pour a little boiling water over, just enough to soften, then sprinkle a little sugar over them then pour on a little milk and I ate it with a spoon. Maybe it was the sweetness, as we never usually had lollies in the house. I also used to like a glass of milk (we were dairy farmers) and a couple of dry m.a. biscuits when I came home from school.

My Mum was a great cook, always baking, but this was a biscuit I also enjoyed, probably because it was about the only biscuit my Mum ever bought.

Comfort foods are always comforting - as are the memories they invoke.

Stunning Karen and I love roasted tomato soup.

What a most marvellous burst of activity since I looked at the page yesterday.  Two more crochet squares from me here.
