Welcome to our November theme
Put on a Happy Face.
This month was going to be hosted by our dear friend, Anne Powell. Sadly, Anne passed away suddenly, in March.
Looking through her photos has sure put a smile on my dial. I have included some of her fun faces in the picture squares below. They are the little pink pig and the yellow/red and blue/blue variegated smiley faces.
Faces of all kinds are so engaging and just looking at them can put a smile on our own.
Squares featuring animal faces
And all manner of fun faces
If picture squares are not your thing, please consider making striped or single colour squares in colours that will have you putting on a happy face.
And for your toe tapping pleasure...
So cute Bev.
Here are some PoM squares. I'm still using up the bits of yarn that my darling hubby matched, tied, and wound for me. I love working with his creations because I never know what color is going to appear next. He did such a great job that each new color that comes up puts a smile on my face ... yup - even pink :)))) Thanks, Don ... xo
And I thought I'd add that this tune by another of my favourite artists https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3_7BZ8ulmU
My musical education is showing some gaps today. I only really know James Taylor for "You've Got a Friend" and I'm afraid I wouldn't have known what he looked like. I like being introduced to new sounds. The squares are great - job well done, Don!
I love your mix of colours Don.... and of course your crocheting Glo:))
It’s great to hear familiar music from the past.
Interesting colour mix Gloria they’ll come in handy with all the fabulous picture squares.
LOVING all the colour changes in these squares, Glo....standing ovation for Don. :))
The man has taste....especially the 'pink' squares....lol.
LOVE your song choice.....though last time I saw a clip of James Taylor, he had more hair. Another of his songs I like is....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Mp0rBHhXMs
Oh Bev, me too! I love that song. And the one Patricia mentioned is a gem, as well ...
Come to think of it, I don't think I've heard a JT song I didn't like ... hahaha
U-huh, I like that one, too. Like you, I've never heard one of his songs I didn't like.
I am very fond of donkeys, their faces and their personalities..... and songs about them when Christmas is approaching....
Another child's treasure, Chris. And what a sweet donkey song ... xo
Ah, now here's a song I know well Chris. A ride on a donkey was the highlight of any trip to the seaside when I was a child.
I see a fabulous farm blanket coming Chris.
