Welcome to our November theme
Put on a Happy Face.
This month was going to be hosted by our dear friend, Anne Powell. Sadly, Anne passed away suddenly, in March.
Looking through her photos has sure put a smile on my dial. I have included some of her fun faces in the picture squares below. They are the little pink pig and the yellow/red and blue/blue variegated smiley faces.
Faces of all kinds are so engaging and just looking at them can put a smile on our own.
Squares featuring animal faces
Fun Emojis....
And all manner of fun faces
If picture squares are not your thing, please consider making striped or single colour squares in colours that will have you putting on a happy face.
And for your toe tapping pleasure...

I am just LOVING your framed animals, Chris. :)) Great pictures and the frame is done in perfectly, contrasting colours.
Hahaha, your cowboy song had me so distracted, Patricia that I spilt tea on my keyboard..thankfully its still working. :))
I googled an expression that I remembered re to have cow eyes for someone, Glo....
(US, informal) A wide-eyed expression meant to discreetly signal otherwise unstated romantic attraction to the one it is directed at.
So I guess cows do have the most beautiful eyes. :))
I lived on a dairy farm as a child. I loved the calves, the piglets and the chickens. One day when I was four, Dad and Mum were in the dairy milking the cows and I was outside playing with an orphaned calf that Dad had tethered on a long rope. Next thing I remember I was caught up somehow under the calf with the rope tying us both up and covered in bruises......I never did that again!!
Oh how I laughed at this google description, (and the thought of you thinking to investigate it)! I suppose it is a phrase we have all used at some time or other, and now we know....tee-hee. Your story is one of those "Eee remember!!" tales too.
Thanks Patricia. My father used to love listening to cowboy songs, this triggered some lovely memories for me, of him singing as he worked in his greenhouse and workshop, inserting his own words when he didn’t remember the original ones..... his version of Shenandoah was vastly different, but he sang them so often that to us they were the ‘real thing’. Thank you.
My you have been varied and busy with these incredibly apt appliques - every square very neat and eye-catching for sure.
Mooo, she's fabulous!!
Another super picture for a child's blanket, Chris. Love that background square, too :))) ... xo
She's a BEAUTY, Chris!! Reminds me of the Fresian milking cows my Dad had.
I feel your pain re the picture positioning. I go to great pains to make sure the appliques are exactly in the middle and pop a couple of pins in, but sometimes they still manage to tilt or creep across the square. :))
LOVING all your frames and background colours this month.......they are really making your pics pop. :))
That is VERY pretty yarn/square, Patricia. :))
OK Glo, I could imagine your beaming smile...without the emoji...hahahaha :))
