Welcome to our November theme
Put on a Happy Face.
This month was going to be hosted by our dear friend, Anne Powell. Sadly, Anne passed away suddenly, in March.
Looking through her photos has sure put a smile on my dial. I have included some of her fun faces in the picture squares below. They are the little pink pig and the yellow/red and blue/blue variegated smiley faces.
Faces of all kinds are so engaging and just looking at them can put a smile on our own.
Squares featuring animal faces
And all manner of fun faces
If picture squares are not your thing, please consider making striped or single colour squares in colours that will have you putting on a happy face.
And for your toe tapping pleasure...

How lovely...great team!
A great idea, Gloria, I love it.
great introduction and I love what everyone is making.
Here is my contribution for the month:
Emojis Blanket - for a little boy.
What a fabulous blanket Sandra...can you imagine the joy this will bring to a child?
Love your tigers Chris and the pink hair on your girls Bev.
Sandra, I am in awe of your talent! What a fantastic, fun blanket for a child :))
Oh my goodness, Sandra, what a HAPPY blanket!!! A dear child will be smiling from ear to ear when wrapped in this gem. An amazing job well done! xo
Gees the work that has gone into this is incredible - hats off Sandra it is terrific!
I absolutely love this, Sandra. Terrific work.
Wow what a talent Sandra, it must have taken you hours. A little boy is going to be absolutely thrilled to receive it.
Oh my GOODNESS, Sandra!!
This is an AMAZING blanket!!
What fun(?) you must have had making it. The attention to detail is mind blowing. Not only are no two squares exactly the same (or at least I don't think they are. My brain was about to explode trying to determine this), but you have got the background of the squares going in a diagonal design across the blanket as well. You are one talented lady. Thank you for creating this beauty. :))
Thank you everyone, I am so pleased you like my blanket.
Honestly I got 1/2 way through it and began to wonder if I had been a bit too ambitious this time. The knitting multiple colours is OK, but the stitching in and tidying up each square took ages. Never mind I kept going and this is possibly my favourite blanket to date.
Next year when I look at the Monthly Themes, I might have to think of simpler patterns to dream up!
