Here is my contribution to the theme, Anneke. A 16" square with a fluffy heart made from scarf yarn which proved very difficult to sew onto the backing square. I have another one which I am trying to attach differently, I am hoping it will be easier!

A beautiful, tactile treat...love the fluffy yarn.

Oh Marion, I second Karen, Linda and Rebecca (see your photo on the photo page)....what more can I say....This square will be cherished to the moon and back by one lucky child! Thank you so much for making such a stunning square for this month's theme.

BEAUTIFUL, Marion!! Braver than me.  :))

Mostly variegated square by Liza:

Green & cream Tunisian honeycomb granny:

This is a great example of how beautiful garter stitch can be. What a lovely square in stunning colours!

The honeycomb square: Linda your creativity is endless! Love it!

Yum, yum....LOVE the variegated!! Thanks Liza.  :))

LOVE your honeycomb square, Linda!! Wow! You have so many patterns in your repertoire.....never an opportunity to get bored, eh??!!

A selection of my favourite yarns - thrifted and gifted! I made this 16" square over the summer, with the intention of it being an autumnal contribution. At the end of September we had the most glorious sunset...it reminded me so much of this square.

Sunset square:

...and here's the sunset:

Linda, I really love the color combination! Both the square and the sunset are stunning!

My first thought: Ooh what a beautiful sunset!!! That the yarn was thrifted and gifted is very special!

What pattern did you use?  I like the texture in the diagonal stripes.

Hi Elsi I saw your question, Linda R's square is made in the Corner to Corner (C2C) crochet pattern.
