If you wish to add a pattern for a square you have made, please insert it at the end of this discussion by using the "Repy to This" feature and please include a photo with the pattern.

We ask that you do not just include links to patterns online that you have not actually tried.

Please note:  some of the patterns below are older and do not include instructions for leaving tails.

Ronda has requested that we now leave a 50cm/20" tail for sewing squares together. Please butterfly the tail to the square.  Instructions for this and an illustration can be found at

Again I apologise that the photo isn't that clear, but it was the best the camera in my phone could do.

I think it's a really good photo because the angle of the light  shows up the stitches in a lovely way, you almost feel you can touch it!

Another GREAT pattern, Wendy.  :))

Thank you for sharing. I am trying to find the time to finish off some very late squares for December, then it is my intention to give some of your latest contributions a go.  :))

Wendy I'm very impressed with your differently patterned knitted squares.   So much so, that I intend to do one of each when I've completed my 35 squares task (which is moving on at pace behind the scenes).      It is not easy to get the 8" width and height correct so I assume some will have taken you some effort to get right.     RESPECT ♥️✔️ x

Yes, Karen there were a more than a few pull out and redo squares to add or subtract stitches. I did get pretty good at guessing the right number of stitches after a while though! All in all it was still an immensely satisfying project!

Look forward to seeing your squares, both for the 35 squares challenge and if you try the one's I have added here.

Getting the stitch count right is a very peculiar thing too, when I did the Raspberry square I needed to go to 58 stitches to get the size right!

Hello Expert Knitters!

I have a mystery to solve.  I made the square shown and have misplaced the pattern. I'm pretty sure I would have found it here on the KAS site. Does anyone recognize the pattern and if so, could you kindly post the pattern instructions for me?

Thank You!

Brenda

Hi Brenda.  Is it 'Jane's square' on page one of this discussion? They look very similar.  :))

Thank you Bev!  I think that might be it!

I'll give it a try.

Brenda

I'd agree it is that square, but the colour change has been done every second K3, P3 row to give the effect you achieved on yours years ago Brenda.......AND looking closely your version seems to be K2, P2,    Kx

Thank you Karen.  Like I said, you ladies are expert knitters to be able to figure that out! :)
