May 2013 Square Heart Award Winner - Susan Haines!
The May 2013 Square Heart Award goes to:
Susan Haines
of Knoxville, Tennessee
Susan joined KAS in August 2009. She is a consistent producer of the "Plain Jane" square, making piles of squares so neat that other members just wish their own could be so tidy!
Susan's squares are not so plain! Each one is unique in that the patterns, colors, and textures vary.
Susan is also an extremely active member of the KAS forum, intervening often with kind words of encouragement to other members.
Thank you, Susan, for everything you do for KAS!

We do all indeed aspire to create squares as neat and even as you....and with the quantities that you produce of these wonderful squares, many children are warmer and so thankful of your loving contributions. xoxo

Oh my goodness! This is such a surprise and honor! I SO love Knit-A-Square and all of the big-hearted people I have met through it. I feel as if I know some of you, and enjoy checking the web site every day to see what new wonders all of you have created! I am so touched by your generosity of time and talents to help warm these beautiful children. I am amazed that one family's concern and caring could turn into such a large and giving community of people. I am so proud to be a member of KAS and am amazed that I would be honored over my plain jane gifts of love. I always feel as if I am so "unworthy" because I only do the simplest of squares, but this honor as simply made me feel quite loved. Thank you all so much, and to all of us - KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!! I am actually off to the post office this weekend with another package. Will post a photo soon! And for once, I've actually got some monthly challenge squares in the package - variegateds! Yay!
